We currently have a variety of opportunities to expand our wonderful team here at Olveston Pre-School. These include Level 3 Qualified and Unqualified Pre-School Assistants, as well as an opportunity for an Early Years Apprentice.

Working with us

  • We are a happy, busy and thriving Pre-School based in South Gloucestershire. Our address is Olveston Pre-school, The Parish Hall, Upper Tockington Road, Tockington, Bristol, BS32 4LQ.

  • We are lucky to have a purpose-built building and our own garden, whilst being surrounded by beautiful countryside and woodland.

  • Our site offers free staff parking.

  • Children are able to access Forest School sessions as part of their curriculum.

  • We believe that children learn best through play; we develop natural resources to encourage children's learning and development.

  • Our last Ofsted Inspection praised us as ‘Good’ in April 2023, please take a look at our report here.

  • We forge close relationships with our families and use the 2Simple platform to inform families of their child’s progress, as well as two face-to-face Parents’ Evenings per school year.

  • Each child is allocated a Key Person who oversees their welfare and development.

  • We are looking for inspirational staff to join our team. Working hours are 8:30 - 15:30 Monday - Friday, term time only.

  • We hope to hire new staff to begin with us from Term 5, week beginning Monday 15th April 2024.

  • We will consider part time shifts, for the right people.

  • We work alongside an excellent training provider to encourage staff to develop their skills and become Qualified, if they wish to.

  • We support our Apprentices to become Qualified, provide time for coursework and assessments, as well as 1-1 support.

  • We are so lucky to work with amazing children who inspire and delight us every day! It really is a joy to work here.

  • We support all our staff to be the best that they can be; we honour diversity and equality in all we do and are lucky to have a friendly, supportive and excellent staff team that we are excited to expand.

  • NB: All of our posts are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.  Applicants must be prepared to disclose any convictions they may have and any orders which have been made against them.

  • If successful at interview, all staff require a new DBS certificate.
